July Ticker is here, International Rally in Doswell is in a few weeks!

The July Ticker is out get it HERE

The 2019 International Rally in Doswell, VA is later this month.  May CIAC members are attending, and several have had to cancel due to health issues.  If any members are interested in caravaning to the Rally, please post on our Facebook page.

The Montague, MI rally was a huge success!  We had 11 CIAC members, plus an at large WBAC member and a new WBAC member from Ohio.  We enjoyed exploring the town, riding on the dunes, touring a modern dairy and visiting a working pottery store.  Who doesn’t enjoy a campground that has a ice cream store within easy walking distance from your campsite!  Kudos to Denise Baldwin for winning the “Watermelon Roll” in downtown Montague! (Yes, you should ask her!)

May Ticker, and Brown County updates.

May Ticker is here!

BROWN COUNTY INFO: At the luncheon, I asked those going to Brown County to vote for the pitch-in meal and the “potato bar” won. I plan to arrive on Thursday.

I’m asking all who plan to go to let me know your site number and how many will join in the pitch-in. We need to have some idea of how many potatoes to fix. Donna plans to bring pulled pork for potato topping, please bring your favorite topping/filling and/or a side dish/dessert to share. If weather permits, the (short) business meeting (4PM), pitch-in (5-5:30PM) and campfire will be at the campsites. I have reserved the Strahl Lake Shelter in case of bad weather. Please try to bring a DVD movie that we might watch and any games we could play. I know you are ready, soooo, get the camper ready and I’ll see ya in May!!!

From the President

Hello fellow “streamers”! I hope all are well. Thanks again to Chris and Stefanie Dillow and Don Russel for their service to our club and to Mary Ellen and John Deegan for their willingness to take on the duties of treasurer and 2nd vice president.

Our October weekender was rainy, sunny, steamy and lots of fun! We were able to have campfires on
Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday morning. (Have I mentioned that I like campfires?) Friday night you could’ve found us at Brunos for some great pizza. Saturday afternoon, between rain showers, several members explored the “Farm” that is in Prophetstown State Park. We were allowed to play the “player piano” in the 1920’s farmhouse that had many period correct furnishings in each room. We could also buy farm grown meats and fresh farm eggs. A “HUGE” thank you to the Baldwins for hosting Saturday nights’ chili cook-off/pitch-in/business meetings in their warm, dry garage. Congrats to Rachelle Swan for being voted “Best” chili (my sinuses are still clear!).

I hope you will camp and have fun with the good folks in the CIAC.
Happy Trails – Charlie Mason, President, CIAC
